

When they tell you to hold a position (or even better, multiple positions) there is genuine desperation, really selling the idea that you're barely holding things together. When the game tells you to assault a position you're actually going to need a plan beyond selecting everyone and attack moving. I believe that one of the reasons I found it so enjoyable was because I played on hard difficulty. I imagine there are many who did not enjoy it as much as I did. I only have a moderate understanding of WW2 history so I can't be a critic of how historically accurate it was, but the storytelling and gameplay were terrific. I've had CoH2 sitting in my library for many years now and only now got to playing it. I played the original CoH and loved it when it first came out.
